To the Lighthouse is the only Woolf I’ve read; however, I can’t offer a great deal of feedback on your thoughts here, because: a) I read the book something like 18 years ago — God, that makes me feel old, hahae, and b) I read the entire thing in a single sitting, overnight, before an exam the next morning. Not the best strategy for absorbing a novel or retaining it for more than a day, is it? On the other hand, perhaps the semi-mesmerized mental state induced by such a sleep-deprived reading is — or was — ideal for that novel. I do remember liking it. And that’s absolutely all I remember. :)
